(Adds details, comments) Sydney, 1 Mai (Reuters) – Australian shares fell 0.5 percent on Wednesday as disappointing manufacturing data from China and the fall in metal prices influence the miners, but trading was subdued, as many investors took the edge off outcome of the meeting of the Federal Reserve System. Global miner BHP Billiton fell 1.6 percent, while rival Rio Tinto Ltd. lost 1.4 percent, deepening their losses after data showed growth in China’s manufacturing sector unexpectedly slowed in width
